Another winner comment from the web. In an article featured on Yahoo! about MacGyver and awesome things he's done, many in the comment section fell back to the standard posts - "you misspell words and are thus stupid." "Obama this" and "Bush that".
This loo loo is a win:
"In a future episode [MacGyver] uses the binary code to not only delete posts that declare someone stupid just because they misspell a word, but also shock them with their own keyboard, killing all 3 remaining brain cells."
You're wrong.
We had a class of 133.
I don't want to see another Yahoo featured article on someone getting perfect attendance all the way through high school graduation. Didn't we have two people in our class of 130 that did that?
Great quote from facebook friend
"When are we going to have an environmental catastrophe that only kills mosquitoes?"
I think it was that Leno wasn't getting the ratings. I'm not sure how Conan was doing. Plus, NBC was losing millions on having to move newcasts from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. and restructuring ad deals already in place, and losing money because you can still sell good ads for Leno at 11 or at 10, but you make more money on tv ads during news at 10 than 11. I may not have the facts precisely right here, but you get the idea. Ad money.
Given I haven't tried to understand the whole flap that occurred when Leno got The Tonight Show back from Conan, but to me it still doesn't seem Leno is getting a "fair shake" in all of this. I thought NBC forced him to retire so that Conan could take over. And when the ratings were bad, Leno got his old job back. And he's a bad guy why?
Conan basically said on 60 Minutes that he doesn't see how Leno was getting screwed by NBC... well, certainly everyone has made him out to be a bad guy, right? So he's getting screwed that way. And the ratings weren't there for Conan, so he shouldn't be surprised by getting booted.
And by the way, David Letterman is not that funny.
Yahoo Movies article mentions modern movie classics (90s and 00s) to watch. The Bourne Ultimatum is included.
Yahoo article on taxes. It says 47% of households won't pay federal income taxes in 2009.
