The "Counties Work" online video game can be found at
this link, and hints at being a great outreach tool for teaching people how government works. Why not have an even more developed SIMS-like-game for local government or federal government? Seems like a good idea to me, though I'm the only one who would likely find it fun. You'd probably need some variation of a red-tape monster, or the meeting that just wouldn't end, even with a ctrl-alt-del.
I've moved all the messages from the now defunct messages tab over as "2 cent" articles. I've used judgment in making some messages the article and some messages the comments underneath each article. I've also judgmentally assigned each article to a category or two. So now things are more easily categorized and found. If you find anything funky, let me know!
Apparently there's an agreement in place to raise the debt ceiling and cut spending - each by $2 trillion. The problem is the cut spending is only from future increases, so it's not a real cut but rather a decrease in the increase.
By putting it so far in the future, it's also like saying, "We're going to cut emissions 20% by 2021-22." Congratulations, but "we're" means "someone else, hopefully," so you're essentially saying, "Not my problem!"

Just saw Harry Potter 7 Part II in 3D. It wasn't worth the extra 2 bucks or whatever we paid. I presume they can film in more "depth" for a bigger 3D effect if they wanted. At times I had no idea I was watching a 3D movie.
