Today I don't see the option to leave comments on Yahoo! articles. This is a sad, sad day in commentary journalism, which can provide such deep insights as, "You call that an article?!" and "What a waste of time!"
Equate brand cough drops at Walmart used to come in packs of 100 for about $1.67. Then they reduced the count to 50 and started charging about $0.98. Ug. The other day I saw them for about $0.93 with a rollback sign on them... the rollback being "technically true" but not in the spirit of real reduced prices. (Still cheaper than competition, though.)
News regarding country debt has an impact on the stock market. Here's some good stuff to know including info on the Debt-to-GDP ratio.
The Internet has everything. Or so we thought. The lyrics to the best breakdancing video ever are not on the Internet. Help me solve this problem. Check out the video in this article and give me your thoughts.
I highly recommend watching Batman: The Animated Series. The first season is on the
WB website. (Their video player freezes a lot so good luck!)
Experts in their fields often make up words to describe what has become commonplace for them. Too bad those words don't hold meaning for the average individual.
There’s a 5k (3.1 mile) race every Thanksgiving morning I like to run. Every year when spring arrives I start to think about that race and how I need to train in order to beat my goal.
The SPJ, Society of Professional Journalists, recently recommended stopping usage of the term “illegal alien” and wants “re-evaluation” of the use of “illegal immigrant.” My thoughts herein.
Rules for how NFL referees decide which way an instant replay call will go: 1) interview 10 people of reasonable intelligence to get their reasonable opinion. 2) Go with the minority opinion. NFL replays are the biggest joke. College, too. They regularly get the call wrong. And this rule about maintaining possession while going to the ground is the stupidest interpretation ever of a catch. A catch is possession then two feet down. Hines Ward had possession, two feet, a third foot, then went to the ground, hit the ground, then the ball came out as the tackle continued. Incomplete pass? Officials, please read the rule book. I haven't, but I'm not getting paid to.
