I've been telling a lot of people to "keep the crazy at home" recently. Lots of folks seem to be yearning to connect to those around them. Those that can't seem to feel a need to express it publicly by acting crazy. Let's pray that folks can keep the crazy at home this Christmas season by connecting with those that love them.

Unbelievable contract for Jason Werth - 7 years and $126 million to play for the Nationals. He's 32 years old, made $7.5 million last year, and had his best year last year in a small ballpark with tons of good hitters around him. .296 batting average, 164 hits, .920 OPS.

That seems worthy of possibly a 5-year at $14 per, but still only if I were insane.

Unbeaten TCU is playing against Wisconsin in a BCS bowl. I'm glad they didn't pair TCU with a weak Connecticut team. That wouldn't prove anything. But Wisconsin is probably the toughest team out there besides Oregon and Auburn. Good luck to the non-BCS teams!

Can we please stop calling the act of stealing documents and posting them online "protected free speech"? Unbelievable.

Russia will host the World Cup in 2018, and Qatar will host in 2022. I guess for 2022 they wanted a new country/region to host, since the other competitors for 2022 were the US, Japan, South Korea, and Australia (the Aussies have at least hosted an Olympics!).

2014 will be hosted by Brazil.

Ummm...so why are the Yankees saying anything remotely considered negative about Derek Jeter? Suggesting he play the field if he doesn't like their contract offer is negative. They should just say, "We want Derek Jeter to continue as a Yankee" and just let the situation play out, and they'll be the good guys no matter what.

Most web hosting companies claim they don't have much down time. 99.99% up-time is a common claim. That means your website is always available.

IPower always seems to have issues. That's who we use. Recently they were down for about a day. And they're still responding slowly. I'd love to say this is the first time it's ever happened. I can't.

This is a recommendation against using iPower. That is all.

Apparently insurance ads that say the following work: "Those who've switched saved an average of $417!"

Although I don't know why. I dare you to get a quote from anyone else right now and see how much you'll save. It won't be much if anything.

Maybe it's like saying you could win a million dollars at the lottery. People have an understanding they're unlikely winners so aren't too disappointed when they don't hit the big one.
